For New Storm Revel Members

NOTE! Some of this information may be of use to experienced players and new players alike! Please read it, and if you have suggestions or questions, ask!

General Guild Information

Please read the other pages on this server for general information about how we promote, what we expect from our members, and so on. If there are any questions, ask an officer or leader.

Guild Banks

The Guild Banks are for everyone's use, including recruits (though they will have to ask an officer to retrieve items they may need). Please feel free to deposit items you believe will help the guild and withdraw those items you may need. We ask only that you remember Need Before Greed (NBG) and only take items you need for advancing your main character. Items that are deposited into the guild bank will be cycled through and sold after two weeks by the guild mule, and the proceeds added to the money in Guild Bank Four for the future purchase of cloak upgrades and guild events.

How to Help Out

This is probably one of the most frequently asked questions. This is a good thing! There are many ways to help a growing guild. The biggest is to show that you are a good person to others. Status in various forms are also very helpful to the guild, since this is how we level. Items, money, and other "material" goods are helpful to guild members as well.

Status

There are four main ways to get status in EQ2. Each of these gives you personal status which allows you to purchase items such as mounts, crafting tables, titles, and special items. These are purchased from horse merchants and city merchants in the cities. The guild gets 10% of the value of the status you make as well. This means that if you earn 10,000 personal status, you get the full 10,000 status points and the guild receives 1,000.

The easiest way to get status is to adventure. You will see items such as Moonstone Amulets, Paraffin Sealed Documents, and others. The first part of the name indicates its "tier" while the last part shows where to sell it.

Each city has a person who will purchase the items for status. See the picture below before selling the items to make certain you have the right person! If you do NOT see the status points (sp) value, you are not at the right person and you will not get status credit for the sale.

If you do not see any status points in the sell window, you are at the wrong merchant. If all goes well, you will see messages like these:

Writs

Adventure Writs

Adventure writs are special work orders which you can obatin, starting at adventure level 10, from the various guilds in your home town. In many cases, certainly in Kelethin, Qeynos, and Freeport, the same people who buy status items (see above) are the same ones who give out writs. Each NPC might only hand out writs for certain levels, so you may have to talk to more than one to find the right person.

Crafting Writs

Crafting writs are special work orders you can obtain, starting at tradeskill level 20, to craft things which are at your current crafting level. They come in timed and non-timed versions, and then at three differnet difficulty levels. Usually you must create a variety of things, all common crafted, and turn them in for status. These are quite handy to do if you are a tradeskill oriented person, as you get the XP for making the items and the SP for doing the writ.

Heritage Quests

There are many, many heritage quests available. EQ2HQ has a list, and an online tracker.

Some "Special" Zones

Some raids give status. Some normal zones do as well. For instance, Unrest gives 10,000 personal status (and 1,000 guild status) for killing the final named.
